In Q2 FY25/26, Lenovo India recorded 23% YoY growth to USD 1.2 Bn, and these leadership changes are expected to further strengthen momentum as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Commenting on the leadership appointments, Shailendra Katyal, Vice President and Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, “These leadership appointments mark an important milestone as we strengthen our enterprise and consumer businesses in India and accelerate AI-led transformation for our customers and partners. Oppo’s upcoming Reno 15 lineup

Oppo’s upcoming Reno 15 lineup — including the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and the newly introduced Reno 15 Pro Mini — marks a clear shift toward premium photography and extreme durability. After debuting in China in November 2025, the range is set to arrive in India on January 8, 2026, targeting users who want flagship-grade cameras without jumping into ultra-premium pricing.

One of the biggest talking points this year is build quality. Oppo has reinforced the phones with an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and added a rare triple-layer protection rating (IP66, IP68, and IP69), meaning the devices can handle dust, submersion, and even high-pressure water jets — something still uncommon in this segment.

Display Experience

All three models feature 120Hz AMOLED screens with 1.5K resolution, ensuring smooth visuals and crisp detail.

The Reno 15 Pro gets the largest panel at 6.78 inches, paired with ultra-thin bezels measuring just 1.15mm and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The standard Reno 15 offers a 6.59-inch display, while the Pro Mini caters to compact-phone fans with a 6.32-inch screen.

Brightness is another highlight, with Pro variants pushing up to 3,600 nits, making outdoor visibility a non-issue.

Camera-Centric Design

Staying true to Oppo’s “camera-first” philosophy, the Reno 15 series goes all-in on imaging hardware. Every model shares the same powerful triple-camera setup:

A 200MP primary camera using Samsung’s HP5 sensor with optical image stabilisation

A 50MP ultra-wide lens for landscapes and group shots

A 50MP periscope telephoto camera capable of 3x–3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom

For selfies and video calls, Oppo includes a 50MP front camera that can record in 4K, putting it ahead of many rivals in this price bracket.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the lineup is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for fast app loading and smooth multitasking. On the software side, the phones ship with Android 16 layered with ColorOS 16, offering the latest UI features straight out of the box.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacity is another strong point:

The Reno 15 Pro packs a massive 6,500mAh battery, supported by 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging

The Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro Mini feature slightly smaller 6,200mAh batteries, still backed by 80W fast charging

Expected Pricing in India

While Oppo hasn’t confirmed official pricing yet, early estimates suggest:

Reno 15 could launch below ₹50,000

Reno 15 Pro Mini may land around ₹59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant

Reno 15 Pro is expected to command a higher premium, likely priced above the previous Reno Pro launch level.

Odisha Joins Hands with Meta to Launch ‘Ama Sathi’ Unified WhatsApp Governance Bot

In a decisive move toward digitally empowered governance, the Government of Odisha has partnered with Meta Platforms to roll out the Ama Sathi Unified WhatsApp Bot, a forward-looking initiative designed to redefine how citizens interact with public services. With this rollout, Odisha becomes the second Indian state after Andhra Pradesh to introduce a single-window, WhatsApp-based interface for government services—bringing administration closer to citizens than ever before.

More than a conventional chatbot, Ama Sathi functions as a digital conduit, seamlessly connecting people with the state’s administrative machinery. Unveiled by Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary of Odisha, the platform reflects the government’s strategic focus on accessibility, efficiency, and inclusion—particularly for citizens at the grassroots level.

By harnessing WhatsApp, a platform already deeply woven into daily communication, Ama Sathi eliminates traditional hurdles such as physical travel, procedural complexity, and limited digital familiarity. Residents can now apply for certificates, permits, and approvals, monitor the progress of applications in real time, receive authenticated responses, and engage with the system in multiple regional languages. Security is reinforced through OTP-based verification, while an integrated feedback loop ensures continuous improvement.

The early response from the ground has been striking. From remote rural communities to urban commercial centres, citizens are reporting a dramatic shift in service delivery. Processes that once required multiple office visits and long waiting periods are now completed in minutes. Small business owners benefit from quicker approvals, while first-time digital users find the interface intuitive and reassuring.

During its pilot phase, Ama Sathi recorded up to a 40% reduction in service processing time, highlighting tangible gains in transparency, responsiveness, and administrative efficiency.

As Odisha advances toward a comprehensive digital governance framework, Ama Sathi emerges as a scalable, citizen-first blueprint—one that is already drawing attention from other states looking to modernise public service delivery.

Nvidia Bets Big on Intel: $5 Billion Deal Fuels New AI and Chipmaking Collaboration

Intel Corporation has finalised a major equity transaction with Nvidia, confirming the sale of 214.78 million common shares worth approximately $5 billion. The deal, executed on December 26, was carried out under a Securities Purchase Agreement first signed by the two chip giants in September 2025, with shares priced at $23.28 each.

The investment marks a pivotal moment for Intel, which has been navigating financial pressure and intensifying competition in the global semiconductor market. In 2024, the company posted a net loss of $18.8 billion, its first annual loss in nearly four decades, underscoring the urgency of strategic partnerships and capital infusion.

Nvidia’s entry as a significant shareholder came amid broader efforts to stabilise Intel’s operations. The move followed a separate arrangement in which the US government acquired a 10 per cent stake in Intel, aiming to revitalise domestic chip manufacturing and reduce reliance on overseas supply chains.

AI-Focused Technology Alliance

The transaction goes far beyond a financial investment. Intel and Nvidia have outlined plans for an extensive technology partnership centred on artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and next-generation silicon.

Data Centres: Intel will develop customised x86 processors optimised for Nvidia’s AI acceleration platforms, targeting large-scale AI model training and inference workloads.

Personal Computing: Intel will manufacture advanced system-on-chips that fuse its CPU technology with Nvidia RTX GPU chiplets, designed for premium consumer devices and professional-grade workstations.

This collaboration blends Nvidia’s dominance in AI and accelerated computing with Intel’s long-established CPU ecosystem, creating a tightly integrated hardware roadmap.

Strategic Implications for the Industry

For Nvidia, the Intel stake strengthens its grip across the AI hardware stack, reinforcing its long-term strategy of embedding itself deeply into computing infrastructure. For Intel, the partnership offers not just capital, but renewed relevance in an AI-driven market increasingly shaped by specialised silicon.

Industry analysts see the Intel–Nvidia alliance as a structural shift in the semiconductor landscape, positioning both companies to scale faster and compete more effectively as global demand for AI-powered computing continues to surge.
