Lenovo has announced key leadership appointments across its enterprise and consumer businesses in India, building on a strong growth quarter and reinforcing its focus on execution, solution-led expansion, and deeper engagement with customers and partners. In Q2 FY25/26, Lenovo India recorded 23% YoY growth to USD 1.2 Bn, and these leadership changes are expected to further strengthen momentum as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Commenting on the leadership appointments, Shailendra Katyal, Vice President and Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, “These leadership appointments mark an important milestone as we strengthen our enterprise and consumer businesses in India and accelerate AI-led transformation for our customers and partners. Amit’s deep understanding of enterprise needs and his experience in scaling the infrastructure business will be critical as we sharpen our focus to drive a solution-led growth. I’m also pleased to welcome Kaman and Srinivas to the Lenovo India Leadership Team. Kaman brings a strong blend of strategic foresight and operational excellence, with an experience in scaling new business models and driving profitable growth – which will propel our consumer business to even greater heights. And, as AI adoption accelerates and infrastructure becomes central to enterprise transformation, Srinivas’s expanded leadership will be key in scaling our infrastructure capabilities and supporting the next phase of AI-driven demand.”
Strengthening Enterprise Leadership
As part of this leadership transition, Amit Luthra will
assume the role of One Lenovo Commercial Leader, Lenovo India and effective 1st
March 2026. In this role, Amit will work closely across Lenovo’s Intelligent
Devices Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), and Solutions and
Services Group (SSG) to drive integrated enterprise growth and deliver
end-to-end solutions for customers across India.
Amit brings over three and a half years of leadership
experience at Lenovo India, during which he has played a key role in scaling
the ISG business in India. He has built strong teams, strengthened partner
relationships, and earned the trust of enterprise customers, positioning him
well to lead Lenovo’s enterprise business as it builds on a strong foundation
and sharpens its focus on AI-led transformation.
In addition, Srinivas Rao, previously Director, Presales,
ISG, will take on an expanded leadership role as Managing Director,
Infrastructure Solutions Group, Lenovo India, leading ISG business group in
India.
Accelerating Consumer Growth
Lenovo has also strengthened its consumer leadership with
the appointment of Kaman Chawla as Director, Consumer Business and Lenovo
India. He will lead the company’s consumer business across PCs and smart
devices, driving end-to-end growth and strengthening Lenovo’s position in the
consumer technology market.
With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning
telecom, FMCG, and IT, Kaman has led and scaled consumer businesses across
multiple markets. He most recently headed Consumer Personal Systems at HP Inc.
across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and has also held senior roles at
Godrej
Consumer Products, Infosys, Reliance Telecom, and Bharti
Telecom, positioning him well to lead Lenovo’s consumer business in India.
As part of this transition, Rohit Midha, Executive Director, Enterprise Business, will be moving on from Lenovo to pursue opportunities outside the organization after more than a decade with the company.
