The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is a thoughtful upgrade on what was already a great, affordable tablet. With a larger display, longer battery life, and a faster chipset that paves the way for OnePlus’ phenomenal Open Canvas software, the Pad Go 2 now feels like far more of a win for productivity users than its predecessor. Throw in 5G connectivity, and it’s easy to see this being a must-buy tablet for anyone shopping in the mid-range market.
So far, OnePlus has offered three generations of its
high-end Pad lineup, including the latest OnePlus Pad 3. The budget Pad Go
series, however, received little attention since its original debut in late
2023.
OnePlus did offer a Pad Lite in the interim as a stop gap,
but we now get to see a proper upgrade with the Pad Go 2.
OnePlus will unveil the Pad Go 2 alongside the OnePlus 15R today, but here's a quick look and some first impressions of the company's latest budget Android tablet offering.
OnePlus has revealed fresh details about the OnePlus Pad Go
2, which will arrive as the successor to the OnePlus Pad Go launched in 2023.
The new tablet is set to debut in India on December 17th, alongside the OnePlus
15R, with sales beginning the following day on December 18th. The budget tablet
has been designed for students and young professionals, promising meaningful
upgrades in performance, battery life, display quality, and accessories. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will feature the MediaTek Dimensity
7300-Ultra, a capable mid-range chipset offering strong performance for gaming
and everyday tasks. OnePlus says the tablet has passed TÜV SÜD’s four-year
Fluency certification, ensuring smooth and reliable performance from day one
through long-term use.
A standout upgrade is the 10,050mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging. The company claims endurance of up to 15 hours of video playback, 53 hours of music, or 60 days of standby. The tablet also supports reverse cable charging, letting users power up their smartphone in a pinch. In comparison, its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad Go 2, has an 8,000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging..
