ASUS ROG Celebrates 20 Years with a Futuristic Gaming Lineup at CES 2026

To mark two decades at the forefront of gaming innovation, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) delivered one of the most ambitious showcases at CES 2026. The company unveiled a wave of next-generation hardware spanning dual-screen laptops, AI-powered ultraportables, advanced OLED displays, AR gaming wearables, and visually striking desktops—signaling ROG’s vision for the future of high-performance gaming.

Reinventing Gaming Laptops

ROG Zephyrus Duo (2026)

ROG pushed laptop design into new territory with the world’s first 16-inch dual-display gaming notebook built at full scale.

Instead of a traditional secondary panel, the Zephyrus Duo integrates two equally sized 3K OLED touchscreens, each running at 120Hz, enabling advanced multitasking and immersive gameplay. Users can switch between five distinct usage modes, adapting the device for gaming, collaboration, or creative work.

Under the hood, the system is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. A detachable keyboard and integrated kickstand further blur the line between laptop and desktop-style workflows.

ROG Zephyrus G14 & G16 (2026)

The new Zephyrus G-series focuses on balancing extreme portability with AI-driven performance.

• Choice of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or next-generation AMD Ryzen AI chips

• Up to 50 TOPS of NPU compute, enabling on-device AI acceleration

• New Nebula HDR OLED displays delivering peak brightness of 1100 nits

• Redesigned cooling architecture using liquid metal thermal compound for sustained performance

These models target gamers who demand power without sacrificing mobility.

ROG Flow Z13-KJP (ROG × Kojima Productions)

One of the most visually distinctive reveals came from ROG’s collaboration with Kojima Productions.

This limited-edition 2-in-1 gaming tablet features artwork and design cues from renowned illustrator Yoji Shinkawa, along with exclusive system themes. Performance is driven by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, while the 13.4-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR touchscreen refreshes at a blistering 180Hz, making it equally suited for gaming and digital art creation.

Displays and Immersive Hardware

ROG XREAL R1 AR Gaming Glasses

ROG’s partnership with XREAL resulted in the first AR gaming glasses to hit a 240Hz refresh rate.

Using micro-OLED FHD panels, the glasses simulate a 171-inch virtual display viewed from approximately four meters away. The experience is enhanced by Bose-engineered audio and electrochromic lenses, which dynamically adjust opacity based on surrounding light conditions.

ROG Swift OLED Monitor Lineup

ASUS also introduced a new generation of OLED monitors built around its RGB Stripe Pixel architecture, designed to improve text sharpness and color precision—two traditional OLED weak points.

Notable models include:

• ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN – 34-inch curved QD-OLED with a 360Hz refresh rate

• ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS – 34-inch QD-OLED running at 280Hz

• ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM – 26.5-inch Tandem RGB OLED offering dual modes: 4K at 240Hz or Full HD at 480Hz

High-Performance Desktop Showcase

ROG G1000 Gaming Desktop

The ROG G1000 stands out as much visually as it does technically.

Its AniMe Holo fan system projects animated holographic effects directly onto the tempered glass panels, turning the PC into a display piece. Internally, it houses flagship components such as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU and a massive 420mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution.

Platforms, Accessories, and Networking

• Motherboards: ASUS expanded its AMD X870E lineup with premium boards like the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial—a CES 2026 Innovation Award recipient—and the Dark Hero, both featuring AI-assisted overclocking and extensive I/O options.

• Peripherals: New additions include the ROG Kithara open-back planar magnetic headset, ROG Cetra Open Wireless earbuds, and the compact ROG Falchion ACE 75 HE keyboard.

• Networking: A technology preview of the ROG Wi-Fi 8 Router (Project NeoCore) demonstrated substantial performance gains over Wi-Fi 7 using early draft standards.
