Samsung Unveils Its Vision for the Next Era of Television at CES 2026

Las Vegas, CES 2026 — Samsung Electronics has revealed a bold roadmap for the future of television, showcasing how the TV is evolving from a passive screen into an intelligent, interactive hub for the connected home. The announcement was made during Samsung’s Visual Display (VD) Deep Dive session at The Wynn Las Vegas, led by SW Yong, President of Visual Display Business.

As the global TV market shifts toward premium experiences, larger screens and AI-driven intelligence, Samsung outlined how it plans to maintain its leadership while redefining what televisions can do.

A Defining Year for Samsung TVs

Samsung described 2026 as a pivotal year for its Visual Display business. The company will strengthen its premium lineup with Micro RGB and OLED TVs, while Mini LED technology will make high-end picture quality more accessible to mainstream consumers. Ultra-large displays will continue to expand, delivering a more immersive viewing experience not only at home, but also in commercial and shared environments.

Together, this strategy aims to bring Samsung’s most advanced screen technologies to a wider audience while reinforcing its reputation for performance and innovation.

“The television experience is shifting from simple viewing to direct interaction,” said President Yong. “Samsung continues to lead by building on its legacy of hardware excellence while embracing intelligent experiences.”

Vision AI Companion Takes Center Stage

At the heart of Samsung’s 2026 vision is Vision AI Companion (VAC), a new AI-powered platform designed to make TVs more intuitive, personalized and conversational. Integrated across nearly the entire TV lineup, VAC understands what viewers are watching, anticipates their needs and displays helpful, context-aware information directly on screen.

By embedding AI across its ecosystem, Samsung is expanding the TV’s role beyond entertainment, enabling deeper smart home integration and more meaningful daily interactions — without compromising on picture quality or reliability.

Bigger Screens, Smarter Design

During the session, Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of VD Business, highlighted Samsung’s Micro RGB 130-inch TV, calling it a major milestone in display technology. He also emphasized Samsung’s continued focus on lifestyle innovation, prioritizing how technology enhances real-world experiences rather than just technical specifications.

“As content quality improves, users naturally seek greater immersion,” Lee noted. “Our focus is on the experiences these technologies deliver.”

Innovation That Sustains Leadership

As Samsung marks 20 consecutive years as the world’s leading TV brand, its CES 2026 message is clear: leadership comes from continuous innovation. By combining cutting-edge displays with intelligent, connected experiences, Samsung is shaping a future where TVs are not just better screens — but smarter, more personal companions in everyday life.
